--Michael Felt (talk) 20:49, 23 August 2016 (UTC) The latest stable version of wget - 64-XCOFF

Release Notes

Source: https://www.gnu.org/software/wget/
Depends on: aixtools.gnu.gettext, aixtools.gnu.libiconv and openssl.base
(If your level of OpenSSL is too low (e.g., still on AIX 5.3 or early AIX 6.1 go to
IBM WebPacks for AIX for the latest (security) related security patches.

Old Stable

--Michael Felt (talk) 23:08, 12 January 2016 (UTC) repackaged to change libssl.a and libcrypt.a member names following new AIX packaging conventions for AIX 6.1 and AIX 7.1

Release Notes

Source: https://www.gnu.org/software/wget/
Depends on: aixtools.gnu.gettext and openssl.base

--Michael Felt (talk) 07:11, 31 July 2015 (UTC) Repackaged with openssl.base dependency lowered to version openssl.base. Still recommend that you update openssl.base asap (via IBM WebPacks for AIX rather than wait for a new service pack with a new openssl.base). With the latest OpenSSL packaging from IBM WebPacks for AIX you can even install an ifix available via ftp://aix.software.ibm.com/aix/efixes/security/openssl_advisory14.asc. And, yes, I am being pushy about it.

--Michael Felt (talk) 09:36, 30 July 2015 (UTC) repackaged with OpenSSL 1.0.1 and removed dependency on pcre (where did that come from??)

Received 27 October 2014

--Michael Felt (talk) 16:53, 2 March 2015 (UTC) removed wget-1.16 (with ssl support) because of conflicts with existing libraries.

Note: make check is not 100% successful. The report has been posted to bug-wget@gnu.org and aixtools will follow the discussion and help get corrections tested and packaged.
