In each version of AIX there is a directory in /usr/samples named libperfstat. But by default, the source examples are not pre-compiled.

root@x064:[/usr/samples]ls -lR libperfstat
libperfstat:
total 80
-r--r--r-- 1 bin bin 816 Sep 22 2007 Make.samples
-r--r--r-- 1 bin bin 9783 Jun 17 2004 perfsample.c
-r--r--r-- 1 bin bin 13441 Oct 4 2007 simplelparstat.c

Since each version of AIX 5.3, AIX 6.1, and AIX 7.1 have newer versions of the libperfstat API - while the older versions will run on later versions of AIX they tell less. So I packaged different versions for AIX 5.3, AIX 6.1 and AIX 7.1
